In Q3, Axfood achieved a modest 3% growth in group sales, driven by a 3.8% increase in its discount chain, Willys. However, operating profit fell to SEK 1 million due to costs from logistics restructuring and price investments to maintain competitiveness. The company faces heightened market competition, yet e-commerce grew 10.2%, outpacing the market. Axfood's acquisition of City Gross is poised to enhance its market presence, although it anticipates a SEK 120-160 million write-down in Q4. Moving forward, the company remains optimistic, focusing on efficiency improvements and ongoing store expansions.
