Sparebanken Vest engages in the provision of banking and financial services. The company is headquartered in Bergen, Hordaland and currently employs 759 full-time employees. The Bank is engaged in the provision of financial products and services through its 68 branches located in the regions of Hordaland, Sogn, Rogaland and Fjordane in Norway. The Bank’s customers comprise private households, small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial companies and public authorities. The Bank’s product portfolio includes savings accounts, loans and payment handling, insurance, as well as card services, among others. As of December 31, 2011, the Bank had three wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Eiendomsmegler Vest AS, a real estate company; Sparebanken Vest Eiendom AS, a property management company, and Sparebanken Vest Boligkreditt AS, a company offering housing loans. Additionally, the Bank owns 44.93% shares of Norne Securities AS, 44.7% shares of Frende Holding AS, 40% shares of Verd Bolgikreditt AS and 49.9% shares of Brage Finans AS.
