Kitron ASA is an international electronics manufacturing services company, which manufactures both electronics embedded in the product of the customers and box-built electronic products. The company is headquartered in Billingstad, Akershus and currently employs 1,749 full-time employees. The firm supplies electronics, which are embedded in the customer products, box-built electronic devices, as well as high-level assembly (HLA) of complex electromechanical products. The company provides services to five segments: Defense/Aerospace, which comprises military avionics, military communications and weapon control systems; Energy/Telecoms, which offers components for transmission systems, high frequency microwave modules, and radio frequency systems, among others; Industry, including control systems, electronic control units (ECU) and automated systems; Medical equipment, which offers ultrasound and cardiology systems, respiratory and medical devices, as well as lab and in-vitro diagnostics (IVD); and Offshore/Marine, which provides subsea production systems, and oil and gas exploration equipment, among others. The company is a parent of a number of entities, such as Kitron GmbH.
