AT-1501 is engineered to improve both safety and provide pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and dosing advantages compared to other anti-CD40 approaches. Blocking CD40L inhibits both CD40 and CD11 costimulatory signaling pathways with the potential for better efficacy. The company is focused on developing AT-1501 in up to four indications: ALS, prevention of kidney allograft rejection, prevention of islet cell allograft rejection, and IgA Nephropathy (IgAN). The company has completed a Phase Ia/Ib single ascending dose trial in volunteers and people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
