Biome Technologies Plc engages in the development of naturally-based plastics. The company is headquartered in Southampton, Hampshire and currently employs 29 full-time employees. The firm comprises of two divisions: Biome Bioplastics and Stanelco RF Technologies. The Biome Bioplastics division comprises of Biome Bioplastics Limited and Aquasol Limited. The Biome Bioplastics division supplies a range of bioplastic resins that replace oil-based materials in a variety of applications. Biome Bioplastics produces a range of plant-based bioplastics that are biodegradable and compostable. A bioplastic is a plastic that is made partly or wholly from materials derived from biological sources, such as sugarcane, potato starch or the cellulose from trees and straw. The RF Technologies division comprises of Stanelco RF Technologies Limited. RF Technologies is involved in the designing and manufacturing of electrical/electronic systems based on radio frequency technology. Dielectric and induction heating are the core products in the fiber optics market.
